Assignment One: Course Orientation
The purposes of this first assignment are to orient you to the course and to provide me with information that I need for my records. To complete this assignment, follow these directions:
- Copy and paste this assignment into a blank Microsoft Word document.
- Give a concise answer to each question. You do not have to write complete sentences.
- When a web address is asked for, copy the web address from the location box of your web browser and paste it into your Word document. If you do not know how to copy and paste, ask someone to help you. Make sure that you read the documents. They contain important information that may affect your grade.
- Some of the items below may not apply to some courses. When this is the case, write NA.
- When you have answered the questions, save the file with the correct file name (you will learn what this is by reading the web documents I ask you to locate) and send it to me as an email attachment.
- Your grade for this assignment will be determined by dividing the number of correct answers by the total number of questions.
- Some questions have more than one part. All of the parts must be correct in order for the question to be counted as correct, so be careful.
- Format your work in the following way:
- Number each question as I have below.
- Give the answer to each question directly following the question.
- Double space between the question and the answer. You should type your answers in bold font to make them distinguishable from the questions.
- Five points will be deducted from your grade for not following the directions for formating your answers.
