Prince Edward County and the Town of Farmville are nestled in the rolling countryside of Virginia's heartland 65 miles southwest of Richmond, 60 miles southeast of Charlottesville, and 55 miles east of Lynchburg.

Directions to Hampden-Sydney College

From the north: Take I-95 south to Richmond, Virginia, and take Rt. 195 south to the Powhite Parkway west (toll) to Rt. 288. Take Rt. 288 south to U.S. 360 west. Then follow signs to Farmville and Hampden-Sydney via Rt. 307, U.S. 460, and U.S. 15 south.

From the east: Take I-64 west to Richmond, Virginia, and take Rt. 195 south to the Powhite Parkway west (toll) to Rt. 288. Take Rt. 288 south to U.S. 360 west. Then follow signs to Farmville and Hampden-Sydney via Rt. 307, U.S. 460, and U.S. 15 south.

From the southern coast: Take I-95 north to U.S. 70 west at Smithfield, North Carolina; take U.S. 70 to U.S. 15 north at Durham; follow U.S. 15 north to Hampden-Sydney, six miles south of Farmville.

From the south: Take I-85 north to U.S. 29 north at Greensboro, North Carolina; take U.S. 29 to Danville. From the U.S. 29 bypass, take U.S. 360 eastbound to U.S. 15 north to Hampden-Sydney, six miles south of Farmville.

From the southwest: Take I-81 north to U.S. 460 east to Roanoke, Virginia; take U.S. 460 to U.S. 15 south at Farmville, and follow signs to Hampden-Sydney.

From the northwest: Take I-81 south to I-64 east at Staunton, Virginia. Take I-64 to U.S. 15 south at Zion Crossroads, east of Charlottesville; follow U.S. 15 south through Farmville to Hampden-Sydney.

Directions to Longwood Center for the Visual Arts

From Richmond: Come to Farmville via US 360, VA 307, and US 460. Take the second Farmville exit; follow US business north to the center of town.

From Washington or from the South: Follow I-95 to Richmond and then follow the above directions to Farmville.

From Charlottesville: Take VA 20 south to Dillwyn, then take US 15 to the first Farmville exit and the center of town.

From Staunton and the west: Follow I-64 to Charlottesville and then follow the above directions to Farmville.

From Lynchburg or Roanoke: Take US 460 east to the second Farmville exit; follow US 15 business north to center of town.
