The VIRGINIA HIKING
STICK COMPANY
We started clearing the land during the summer and fall of 1998
and made the final move from Virginia Beach to Meherrin in April of 1999.

We spent the next five months building our Dutch Barn Home
and getting it ready for our first winter.


During the last five years my wife Audrey and I have created what we
lovingly refer to as "The Micken State Park". We have 44 acres of
Virginia forest land complete with all the associated wildlife one could imagine.

The peace, serenity, and contentment cannot fully
be explained here in mere typed or printed words.

GOD blessed us beyond our dreams.

My stick working shed is at left where I and
My Quality Assurance Inspector, pictured below, complete our labors.
The QA guy is the one with hair on his head.

The latest addition to our State Park, just completed in time for winter,
is a modern, waste management facility structure.

It really houses the emergency, gas operated, electric generator and cable
as well as making an ideal storage area for our old Direct TV antenna.
