A Boy Scout "Eagle" stick with all seven rating badges placed
on the stick with the date that each rank was achieved, the young man's name and troop number, order of the arrow award, and other major events or accomplishments during his path to manhood makes a superb gift that can be carried throughout life as a reminder
of ones training, values, and roots.

The stick pictured at left was completed
for Kenneth Lee Buckler who was awarded the
rank of Eagle on 15 May 1999.

Ken is a member
of Smithsburg Troop 14, which is sponsored by
the Smithsburg, MD. Lions Club.

Following his
18th birthday, Ken will become an assistant
Scoutmaster for his troop.

We wish him well and future success
with his chosen career.

Pictured at the right is another Eagle Scout stick showing a better view of the layout of the seven, metal, basic scouting rating badges with the date attained carved just below each badge. This stick also shows an example of a Presentation grade "Vine Twisted" stick.

Parents and friends do not have to wait until a young
scout makes Eagle to present him with such a stick.

The stick can be completed up to the present rank
with space left for advancement. In this manner, the
stick could act as an incentive to keep the young man
focused on completing the required work to reach the
goal of EAGLE SCOUT.

Boy Scout Troops
