The stick pictured at left was completed for Creighton James Brei was born October 10th, 1990 in Hastings, Nebraska. He began scouting as a Tiger Cub in 1997 when he was 7 years old. He attended Juniata Elementary School but they did not have a Cub Scout pack so he had to find a pack to join. Creighton attends church at 1st St. Paul’s Lutheran Church and they were sponsors for Pack 207, so he joined there.
Creighton worked hard to move up the ranks in scouting. He attended many lock-ins, summer camps, Scout-O-Ramas
and fund-raising activities. He participated in special programs including Scouting for Food, and several community
service projects. While in Cub Scouts, Creighton received his God and Family award and his Arrow of Light. His love
for scouting continued as he crossed over to Boy Scouts May 20th, 2002.
During his time as a Boy Scout, Creighton was very dedicated and worked hard to achieve merit badges and progress
through the ranks of Scouting. On 2/3/03, Creighton had met enough requirements to become a Tenderfoot. On 5/3/03,
he received his 2nd class rank. He obtained the rank of 1st Class Scout on 2/2/04. On 8/23/04 he became a Star Scout;
on 3/28/05 he achieved enough merit badges and camping skills that he became a Life Scout. He was Assistant Patrol
leader from 3/28/05-05/01/06 and Senior Patrol leader from 05/01/06-02/26/07.
Creighton has earned 23 merit badges. These include: Camping, Citizenship of the Community, Citizenship of the Nation,
and Citizenship of the World, Communications, Emergency preparedness, Environmental Science, First Aid, Swimming, Personal
Management, Personal Fitness, Family Life, Music, Pets, Shotgun Shooting, Veterinary Medicine , Fingerprinting, Archery,
Electricity, Golf, Indian lore, Life Saving and Fishing. He continues to work on merit badges in hopes to receive his Palms

Creighton was inducted into the Order of the Arrow on 6/22/06. At that time he joined crew 2147 and become a Venturer.
He is very active in the OA organization. He is now Chapter Chief of the Overland trails Chapter of OA. On 8/25/07,
Creighton became a member of the OA Brotherhood. Creighton is very dedicated to Scouting. He does and will continue to
promote scouting and encourage young folks to stay involved
Creighton is very involved in the church and was very passionate that his Eagle Scout project would benefit the church
in some way. On May 25, 2006 Creighton and Pastor Adam White, Associate Pastor, discussed the project concept Creighton
had in mind. Creighton’s Eagle Scout project began on 12/21/07. His project was to paint the walls and floor of an area in
the basement of 1st St. Paul’ Lutheran Church called the Christian Underground. The walls and floor were bare concrete.
He and several volunteers painted the walls white and the painted the floor white and grey squares. The total number of
hours his project took was 120. His project was completed on 2/25/07. Creighton had his Eagle Scout Board of Review
on 4/24/07. He passed that review and became an Eagle Scout.
His religion is very important to him. He attends church regularly, volunteers during church services, helps teach
Sunday school and Vacation Bible School, helps with Wednesday night programming, and is an active participant in Sunday
school and Youth Group. He enjoys spending time in the “Christian Underground” and he is proud that his project benefits
the youth of the church and community. He is glad that others are also enjoying this area.
Creighton possesses many of the traits and characteristics necessary to be a successful Eagle Scout.
He is a very hardworking, conscientious, understanding, caring, kind-hearted, well-rounded individual. Creighton is
a youth leader in scouting, church, school, and life.
In addition to scouting, sports are very important to him. He has been a three sport participant (Cross-Country,
basketball, and track) at Adams Central High School for the last two years. He has run and medaled in several 2K and
5K runs. Creighton has a love for track. He is a 2 year varsity letter winner. He competes in the High Jump, Long Jump
and Triple Jump, has received many medals in these 3 events. He is a 2 time state medal winner in the Triple Jump
finishing 6th as a freshman, and 3rd as a sophomore. He broke the Adams Central High School Indoor track and field
triple jump record at his first meet this season.
. In school, he is consistently on the B honor Roll
