Selecting the Perfect Rugs

Tricks of the Trade
To measure the perfect size carpet for your room, lay out exactly where you want the carpet to go with masking tape. This way, you can measure out different lengths and widths, allowing you to visualize what works best for your furniture and the dimensions of your room.
(Look for professional painters' masking tape in the paint section of your hardware store. It's designed to be gentle release, won't harm your floors, and comes in royal blue and purple).
